Why should we hire a birth photographer?

Let's think together for a second. Wouldn't it be amazing to have one person dedicated solely to capturing the moments of your birth as they unfold? New daddies wouldn't have to worry about making sure to "get all the right pictures" (and thereby missing out on being a part of the memory-making); new mamas would have their spouse or mom there to support them physically, mentally, and emotionally instead of running around with a camera; and everyone in the new family will have peace of mind that your memories are forever preserved and able to be cherished for years to come.

What exactly do we get out of this?

We offer a variety of different packages to choose from, or create your own! It's YOUR birth, YOUR way.

When will we get our pictures back?

We will normally have your gallery completed within 6-8 weeks after your delivery.

When do you come to the birth and how long do you stay afterwards?

We come to your chosen place of birth during active labor (5-6cm) and stay until about 1-2 hours after your baby's arrival.

When is it best to book our birth photography “session”?

Since we only attend a certain number of births per month, it is best to reserve your spot as soon as possible. We are often fully booked well in advance; however, that might not always be the case, so if you are interested in having us at your birth, please don't hesitate to contact us!

How many births do you photograph per month?

We limit ourselves to three; that’s why it is so important to reserve your spot as soon as possible.

Do you have a Baby Registry?

Yes, we do! Birth photography is SUCH an amazing gift to give someone as a shower gift or a "welcome to the family" gift. Because it is so popular, we offer a Baby Registry for my clients. Please contact us to discuss this awesome feature!

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes, we do! Contact us to get information on purchasing gift certificates.

What local areas do you cover?

We are the preferred birth photographer for Nashville, Leiper's Fork, Summertown, Franklin, Murfreesboro, Mt. Juliet, West Nashville, & Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge... we are the premier choice for birth photography in Tennessee! We also serve all of North Carolina and South Carolina, including Asheville, Fayetteville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, Fort Bragg, Wadesboro, Anson, and surrounds.

Do you have any type of referral rewards program?

Yes, we do! Word of mouth is pretty much our only advertisement. Therefore, any client who offers a referral resulting in a booked birth story photography session will receive $100 credit toward their own birth session, up to $500!! (Woo hoo!) We greatly appreciate our clients and all the referrals that have already been sent our way, so this is just a token of our gratitude.

What happens if my birth goes fast and you miss it?

Generally speaking, if we are given a reasonable amount of time to arrive at your place of birth, we will not miss it. However, sometimes labors progress more quickly than anticipated. In that case, we have a special session set up for this, which is called a Fresh48 session. We will chat about that during your consult.

I have been told there is a strong possibility my child will not make it outside of the womb. Will you still photograph our family and the experience?

We, too, have been in these shoes. Suffering the loss of a baby is one of the most traumatic experiences parents could ever face. We believe it is just as important to remember that child’s entrance in the world as it is any other. We would be honored to be there to offer our images to support your future healing and grieving of your child. Believe me, you will want to remember every detail of your child and the pictures will preserve those tiny features for you. There is no cost for this service.
